What is priority loot?
Priority loot is a fair way to hand out drops in WoW raids: everyone decides up front how much each item matters to them, and loot is distributed strictly by that list – transparent and understandable for the whole raid.
The problem with classic loot distribution
Rolling (/random) is pure luck and doesn't reward who actually needs an item. DKP systems mean constant bookkeeping. Loot council decides behind closed doors – both quickly cause arguments and frustration in the raid.
The fix: transparent priorities
With priority loot everyone sets their priorities up front and hidden. At the reveal they're all open – distribution follows clear, visible rules instead of gut feeling. Lootguard makes exactly that easy: in real time, in the browser, with no extra addon.
How priority loot works with Lootguard
- 1
Create a list or join
The raid lead creates the loot list and everyone joins by link or PIN – on Classic with no account at all.
- 2
Set priorities in secret
Everyone marks how much each item matters to them, hidden. No one sees anyone else's priorities.
- 3
Reveal and share fairly
After the boss the priorities are revealed and loot is handed out strictly by the list – transparent, no ninja looting.
Why Lootguard?
- Fair & transparent – loot goes strictly by the open list.
- No drama – clear rules instead of gut calls, no ninja looting.
- No barrier – guest join by PIN, on Classic with no account.
- No addon needed – runs in the browser, all in real-time sync.
- Free – for WoW Classic and Retail.
Who is Lootguard for?
For guilds, regular raid teams and pug raid leads who want to hand out loot fairly and without arguments – whether WoW Classic (Vanilla to MoP) or current Retail.
